The SMoCC staff takes part in teaching and education.

Regular lectures on X-ray structure determination for beginners and advanced students provide the basic knowledge. The platform grants direct access to the instruments for interested PhD-students and post-docs. Periodic and individual introductions to crystal growth, usage of software and handling of the diffractometers are offered. The fast and straightforward access to the instruments and the close supervision will ensure that unusual and challenging non-routine measurements can be performed promptly and with great flexibility.

Regular weekly seminars for staff and users address general issues and also special problems encountered during the process of structure analysis.

The staff introduces and certifies new users to ensure a proper and safe use of the instruments.
